Ginger is fine. I may have to put a cone on him, though. He's in a box, now, where he thinks I can't harass him. Grumble.

Robb, the most beautiful cat in the world:

Ginger, grappling with a grasshopper!
Note his shaved tummy from the sonogram a couple of weeks ago.
Meanwhile, I officially hate new computers and sluggish websites.

Can you spot the difference between Robb and Ginger?

I just liked this photo, so decided to post it. Nothing else to say.

Finally, Ginger eating out of a saucer. I used to have a bunch of mixed cappuccino cups and saucers, collected from thrift stores. The collection is dwindling... funny thing. [Turn down your speakers.]

A new visitor, a long story.

We've been letting Robb out on a lead (I know -- the indignity). Here he is the first time:

( Lots more photos )
Meanwhile, the two plants on the porch in front of the house have been host to a stream of wild animals drinking water out of the saucers under the pots. Robb has serious Spring Fever here.

John took some of Robb while I was away. These are just a few of them.

( more here )
Notice how sweet he is for John? He's actually been pretty loving (for him) since I've returned. We've also resumed our stalk and pounce games.
Today, he caught a fly that somehow got into the house, probably thanks to taking out the trash. He chased that fly for at least 20 minutes, executing daring aerial maneuvers. He finally trapped it between his paws on the window sill. I tried to prevent him from eating it, but when he realized that I was going to take it away from him ... gulp. I don't know whether to praise him as a dedicated hunter or avoid him as a carrier of plague. I just hope he doesn't get worms or something now.
That cherry tree outside the window has lost all its blossoms, by the way, replaced by small fruit. The apricot tree is just loaded with tiny apricots, and the almond tree with fuzzy green almond shells. The apples still have some blossoms. We are also getting figs! It seems awfully early in the season for fruit to appear.

I was in a picture-taking mood today, so...
Robb at an upstairs window:

Exceptional looks run in his family. We visited our wonderful friends who adopted Soots and Arya, and while there, took this shot:

Life is good for these lucky kittens.

Here's Robb posing on his carpeted pedestal, which we placed by the window bordering our front door.

Perhaps someday I'll get a real comparison picture to gauge his size.

Robb continues to be a joy, with rare exceptions, like when he mistakes paper for cat litter. Here he is:

And here are Soots and Arya on New Year's Eve, having found a familiar and accommodating lap.

Soots and Arya are on fakeplasticfish.com more often than not. Robb spends his time two blocks from here, training his slow-learning humans.

The amazing adventures of Soots and Arya continue here. We kept Robb because the other two were close partners in crime, always together, always egging each other on to new mischief. Robb used to be the sober and quiet one. With Soots and Arya gone, however, he's switched into full wild kitten mode. He is becoming possibly the most spoiled kitten in the world.
Meanwhile, I saw a battered black and white cat outside the house, a cat who looked more like a bulldog. If he is the father, we all may have monster cats on our hands.
Ah, well. Happy New Year!
